To help prevent fraud, more organizations are moving toward the use of behavioral biometrics for authentication, says Tamaghna Basu, CTO at NeoEYED.

"Primarily fintech is the industry which is extensively looking at it and trying to use it because that is where the stakes are higher," he says.

Among the most common form of behavioral biometrics is keystroke dynamics, Basu says. "Keystroke dynamics is one area where you actually study the typing pattern of the user - how he is typing, what's the speed, the kind of errors they make. ... There are more than 100 factors ... which we use to build a profile of a person."
