Turning Awareness into Action

Sophos' Bray on Making Security Simpler
Turning Awareness into Action
Organizations across all industry sectors understand the importance of information security. But turning security awareness into meaningful action - that's the challenge that many midsized entities face, says Sophos' Nick Bray.

It's no longer a matter of making organizations and employees aware of security threats, Bray says. The issue now is helping organizations take meaningful action to protect endpoints and networks.

"[That's where] we come in to take that awareness and make it something that is usable and effective," Bray says.

In an interview at the Infosecurity Europe 2014 conference in London, Bray discusses:

  • Mid-market security challenges;
  • The value of unified threat management;
  • How to make security simpler for organizations and users.

Bray joined Sophos as Chief Financial Officer in 2010. He has worked in the technology sector for over 20 years. Bray has successfully accelerated organic growth both at Sophos and prior organizations through acquisition having now acquired and integrated in excess of 10 companies. Before joining Sophos, Bray was Group CFO at Micro Focus International plc.
