Currently a venture partner at venture capital firm Rally Ventures, Coviello delivered the opening keynote address at ISMG's New York City Fraud Summit, and then sat for a video interview to discuss topics that he will address at the upcoming RSA Conference in San Francisco.

In this interview, Coviello discusses:

  • The rise of cybercrime incidents and why he believes the U.S. is not taking social media manipulation seriously enough;
  • Why he is bullish on DevOps security, as well as anti-malware solutions that rely on artificial intelligence and machine learning;
  • His talking points for meetings at the RSA Conference.

Coviello has more than 30 years of strategic, operating and financial management experience at high-technology companies and is one of the most recognized figures within the cybersecurity industry. He became CEO of RSA Security Inc. in 2000 and continued to lead the company following the acquisition by EMC in 2006 until he retired from the role in 2015. Coviello has played a leading role in several national cybersecurity initiatives, including as a founding board member of the Cyber Security Industry Alliance, and has served as an adviser to key government agencies as well as public-private initiatives.
